130 km from Petropavlovsk, near the ancient village of Malka, there are two groups of mineral springs – cold carbon dioxide and hot. From year to year, the flow of nature lovers attracted here by these springs and the beauty of the surrounding places increases.
The springs are located in the west of the village of Malka on the bank of the Klyuchevka River (the left tributary of the Bystrica River), quite powerful jets of hot water are knocked out of the pebble layer, having temperatures up to 70-80 degrees. Dug out spacious shallow pools – baths, welcome everyone who wants to bathe and relax in the therapeutic low-mineralized thermal waters.
You will take a short excursion to the "wild" thermal springs, where you can swim and watch how hot springs are adjacent to a cold river, and the mountainous nature of the area - a chain of beautiful, sharp as spires, towers, not conquered by man "Ganalsky vostryakov", will give your way an inexhaustible flow of picturesqueness and diversity.
Thermal springs gush directly from pebbles and sand, overflowing with small ponds and puddles. Previously, the water flowed into the river, and now it gets into special natural baths. Each has its own special composition and temperature. In some, the water is so hot that steam comes from it – as if dozens of volcanoes have come to life and bubbled at the same time. As entertainment, you can even cook eggs in them – a kind of Kamchatka-scale Fujiyama!
A long time ago, residents of nearby villages were afraid of boiling reservoirs, believing that evil spirits live in them, and now people from all over the country are coming here to be treated - thermal springs give healing to the soul and body. The first hospital was opened in 1818. Now there is a sanatorium-dispensary based on the outputs of this healing thermal water.
Nearby is the Malkinsky plant, which produces mineral water. Clean, transparent and already carbonated water flows from an underground source. The modern equipment of the plant allows to produce mineral and artesian water of the highest quality.
